Bonafe was born in Southern France in 1932. He made his way to Paris in the mid fifties and settled in the heart of Montmartre.
Roger Bonafés’ work has been exhibited worldwide for over 20 years. He joined La Dame du Castellet at the beginning of the nineties. A few exhibitions down the road, the gallery accompanied him to the UN’s headquarters in Geneva in 2001, where he represented France. The following year, he was named the honorary artist of the château de Val.
His work is permanently exhibited at "La Dame du Castellet" in Paris.
