Wasted Time — 24-Inch Round Limited Edition Artist Proof by Pete Tillack
A striking circular composition with a story worth contemplating. In Wasted Time, Pete Tillack brings a clever fox and a watchful raven face-to-face, with a pocket watch between them. The painting draws inspiration from Aesop's fable The Fox and the Raven, exploring the influence of ego, flattery, trust, and the time we spend pursuing what truly matters.
The fox's aviator goggles add a touch of Tillack's characteristic wit, while the raven and pocket watch give this whimsical scene a deeper meaning. The distinctive 24-inch round format offers an engaging alternative to a traditional rectangular artwork.
24-inch round Artist Proof — $2,495. Hand-embellished, signed and numbered, with a Certificate of Authenticity. Arrives ready to hang.
The Story Behind Wasted Time
In the familiar fable, the raven is persuaded by flattery to surrender what it possesses. Tillack revisits the relationship between the fox and the raven as a reminder to consider how pride, outside influence, and distractions can shape our decisions. The pocket watch adds an unmistakable question: where are we spending our time, and what are we getting in return?
