Celebrating America's 250th Birthday
This Independence Day is unlike any other in our lifetime.
As Americans gather this Independence Day weekend to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, we're reminded that history is not measured only by dates and milestones, but by the generations who have built, protected, and passed forward the ideals of liberty, opportunity, and hope.
When Eric Christensen painted Taste of Glory, he captured more than an elegant still life. He created a tribute to the simple traditions that unite us—sharing a meal, raising a glass, gathering with family and friends, and celebrating the freedoms that make those moments possible. Set against the beauty of California wine country, the American flag stands quietly among the harvest, reminding us that the American spirit is found not only in historic events, but also in the everyday moments we cherish most.
For 250 years, America has been shaped by generations of people who dreamed, built, served, sacrificed, created, and persevered. Though our individual stories may be different, we share a remarkable legacy—and the opportunity to leave something meaningful for those who follow.
As we celebrate this extraordinary milestone, may we take time to appreciate the beauty around us, the freedoms we often enjoy, and the people who make our lives rich with love, friendship, and lasting memories.
From our family at Gallery 1870, thank you for allowing us to be a small part of your homes, your memories, and your lives.
We wish you and your family a joyful, safe, and meaningful Independence Day.
This Independence Day, we invite you to raise a glass, reflect on our shared history, and Taste the Glory of 250 years.
Cheers,
Your friends at Gallery 1870
