Artist Statement – The Line
"With new growth comes fear, but also freedoms.
Light passes thru the concrete caverns, constantly moving the sidewalk silhouettes.
The higher we reach, the more things look different—but is there a limit, and if so, is it self-imposed or natural?
As brief as life is, it was never meant to be stagnant. It is full of evolution, and this may answer the question to be part of ‘what is the meaning.’
The scenery always changes as we move forward, whether you’re the passenger or the driver. There will always be a loss due to progress—the ironsmith, the milkman, or the elevator operator. There is no blossom without blood.
You have to find, or even design, your place, because there are times that someone has moved the cheese… even the smallest of things can make a great impact. Sometimes you realize that the mouse was actually the lion."

About the Artist – Pete Tillack
Pete Tillack is an Australian-born, self-taught artist whose work is known for Philosophical Symbolism. His paintings often feature symbolic juxtapositions—lions, wolves, or foxes placed in urban and surreal environments—that invite reflection on society, change, and personal growth.
Shaped by years of global travel, Tillack incorporates elements of culture, environment, and personal experience into every canvas. His use of monochromatic tones and strong contrasts creates depth, drawing viewers into scenes that feel both deeply personal and universally resonant.
