Blue Poppies — Homage to Gustav Klimt

Original Acrylic by Charlotte Rose (Gail Chandler)
36" × 24" × 1.5"

Blue Poppies — Homage to Gustav Klimt is an original mixed-media acrylic painting from the Charlotte Rose Collection by Gail Chandler, a body of work inspired by romance, tradition, and a deeply personal artistic lineage.

Painted on stretched canvas, the piece combines richly layered acrylic with hand-created acrylic skins that have been decoupaged onto the surface, adding texture, dimension, and movement throughout the floral composition. Shades of blue, indigo, periwinkle, cream, green, and metallic gold create a lush field of poppies, while the decorative patterning and gold accents pay homage to the ornamental beauty associated with Gustav Klimt.

The canvas measures 36" × 24" and is 1.5" deep, with painted edges for a finished presentation that can be displayed unframed.

Gail Chandler paints this distinctive style under the name Charlotte Rose, honoring her great-grandmother, who was also an artist. The Charlotte Rose Collection reflects that artistic heritage while allowing Gail to explore a more romantic, expressive approach to floral painting.
