Eagle Miniature Original by Karen Neely – 3M97

Original Acrylic | 2.5" × 2.5" | Custom Italian Molding (3.5" × 3.5" Framed)

Bold and striking, this eagle miniature original by Northern California artist Karen Neely captures the commanding presence and quiet strength of this iconic bird. Rendered in a close-up profile, the eagle’s piercing eye and strong beak are brought into sharp focus, creating an immediate sense of intensity and character.

Neely’s expressive brushwork adds texture and depth to the crisp white feathers and rich dark tones, while the soft, neutral background allows the subject to stand forward with clarity and impact. Despite its intimate scale, the piece conveys a powerful sense of majesty and stillness.

Expertly presented in custom Italian molding, the finished piece measures 3.5x3.5 inches and is ready to display. This one-of-a-kind original is ideal for collectors of miniature fine art, wildlife enthusiasts, or anyone drawn to the enduring symbolism of the eagle.

About the Artist – Karen Neely

Karen Neely is a Northern California artist born in Monterey.

She has been painting since her youth, studying privately under her mother (a professional artist) as well as other renowned artists through her parents’ many galleries and art shows. She later continued her studies at Chico State, San Francisco State, and the Art Academy in San Francisco.

Her first award came at the age of 16, when she received the Bank of America–sponsored Junior Achievement Award, which helped fund her formal art education.

Today, Karen’s work is featured in several fine art galleries throughout California. Her time living in Hawaii, Monterey, Lake Tahoe, Southern California, and near Northern California’s wine country inspires her creations. She can often be found painting outdoors—by the vineyards, along the coast, or lakeside.

While Karen works in mixed media on canvases up to 6x6 feet, she is especially known for her miniature acrylic originals, set in custom frames such as hand-rubbed maple and imported Italian mouldings.
