Winston had planned the perfect Paris evening to surprise Scarlet. A romantic stroll, a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower, and one very special gift he had been keeping for just the right moment. As the lights of Paris began to twinkle below them, Winston knew his timing was perfect.

Scarlet thought she knew exactly what was coming. Paris. The Eiffel Tower. Winston acting unusually nervous. When he moved closer, she delicately extended one paw and waited. Winston smiled, reached for his surprise and presented her with...a magnificent diamond collar. Scarlet looked down at the diamonds sparkling around her neck. It was beautiful. It was extravagant. It was most definitely not a ring.

Scarlet couldn’t help but smile. She loved this sweet, handsome Frenchie—even if he simply refused to get the hint. She nestled against Winston, gave him a soft kiss on the cheek, and together they watched the Eiffel Tower shimmer against the Paris night.

For Scarlet, one thing was perfectly clear: Winston remained blissfully clueless. Tomorrow morning, she thought, I’ll have to introduce my beau to Tiffany.
