Golden Gate Glory Miniature Original by Karen Neely – 6820

Original Acrylic | 6" × 8" | Custom Maple Frame (7" × 9" Framed)

Vibrant and atmospheric, Golden Gate Glory captures one of California’s most iconic landmarks in a beautifully expressive miniature format. Karen Neely brings the Golden Gate Bridge to life through shifting coastal light, layered clouds, and rich painterly textures that evoke the ever-changing San Francisco skyline.

The composition draws the eye from the shimmering blue water and sailboats below up to the bold red structure rising through soft, misty clouds. In the foreground, wildflowers and rugged coastal terrain add warmth and depth, creating a striking contrast against the cool tones of the bay and sky.

Painted with confident, impressionistic brushwork, this piece balances energy and serenity—making it both visually dynamic and inviting. The larger 6x8 scale allows for added detail and presence while still maintaining the charm of a collectible original.

Custom framed in warm maple molding, the piece measures 7x9 inches overall and is ready to display.

About the Artist – Karen Neely

Karen Neely is a Northern California artist born in Monterey.

She has been painting since her youth, studying privately under her mother (a professional artist) as well as other renowned artists through her parents’ many galleries and art shows. She later continued her studies at Chico State, San Francisco State, and the Art Academy in San Francisco.

Her first award came at the age of 16, when she received the Bank of America–sponsored Junior Achievement Award, which helped fund her formal art education.

Today, Karen’s work is featured in several fine art galleries throughout California. Her time living in Hawaii, Monterey, Lake Tahoe, Southern California, and near Northern California’s wine country inspires her creations. She can often be found painting outdoors—by the vineyards, along the coast, or lakeside.

While Karen works in mixed media on canvases up to 6x6 feet, she is especially known for her miniature acrylic originals, set in custom frames such as hand-rubbed maple and imported Italian mouldings.
