Grapes Miniature Original by Karen Neely – M2256
Original Acrylic | 2" × 2" | Framed 3" × 3" with Burl Hanger
This richly detailed miniature by Karen Neely captures a vibrant cluster of deep purple grapes surrounded by warm autumn leaves. The composition feels both painterly and textural, with layered brushwork that gives the grapes a dimensional, almost tactile presence despite the intimate scale. Hints of sky blue and warm earth tones in the background add contrast and depth, making this small piece feel surprisingly substantial.
Framed in a beautiful burl wood molding, the natural grain enhances the organic subject matter and adds a refined, gallery-quality finish. This miniature is designed with a ribbon hanger, making it as versatile as it is collectible.
As shown in your images, it displays perfectly hanging from the neck of a wine bottle—an ideal pairing for collectors, wine lovers, or unique gifting. It can also be hung on a wall, displayed on a small easel, or used as a seasonal ornament.

About the Artist – Karen Neely
Karen Neely is a Northern California artist born in Monterey.
She has been painting since her youth, studying privately under her mother, a professional artist, as well as other accomplished artists through her family’s involvement in galleries and art shows. She continued her formal education at Chico State, San Francisco State, and the Art Academy of San Francisco.
Karen received her first award at age 16—the Bank of America–sponsored Junior Achievement Award—which helped support her early development as an artist.
Her work is now featured in galleries throughout California. Drawing inspiration from her time in Hawaii, Monterey, Lake Tahoe, Southern California, and Napa Valley, Karen often paints en plein air—capturing landscapes, coastal scenes, and countryside life.
She is especially known for her miniature acrylic originals, each thoughtfully finished and framed, often in custom Italian molding or distinctive wood frames.
