Artist Mars Lasar was born in Germany’s Black Forest and raised in Sydney, Australia. Before establishing himself as a fine art photographer, Mars gained international recognition as a platinum award-winning music composer and producer, creating compositions for film and television while working alongside many renowned artists.

His artistic journey evolved from large-format oil painting and album cover design into photography, where his fascination with light and composition found its purest expression.

Today, Mars Lasar’s work captures the natural world with a distinctive blend of color, atmosphere, and emotion. His evocative Wine Country landscapes reflect both technical mastery and artistic sensitivity, offering viewers a sense of tranquility and connection to place. He now works from his studio in Napa, with his artwork featured in galleries, private collections, and wineries throughout the Napa Valley.
