"Inspired by one of Aesop's fables, this piece explores the struggle between the ruler of the sky and the ruler of the earth—the eagle and the lion.

The painting discusses overcoming the jealousy that can arise when we compare ourselves to the success of others. That feeling is often a deception—one that prevents us from recognizing our own potential and envisioning greater possibilities.

Rather than measuring ourselves against someone else's journey, we must learn to identify and develop our own unique strengths. When we embrace the gifts we already possess, we gain the ability to rise above limitations, move to the next level, and create a path that is uniquely our own."

Pete Tillack is an Australian-born artist celebrated for his unique style of Philosophical Symbolism.
