Season Finale - Limited Edition Quadriptych by Eric Christensen

$ 2,850.00

Season Finale – Limited Edition by Eric Christensen

Four Seasons, Fine Wines, One Epic Masterpiece

"Season Finale" by Eric Christensen is a limited edition fine art giclée on canvas or metal sublimation print. This epic four-panel quadriptych captures Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter in a rotating vineyard composition, honoring the wines and seasons of Napa Valley. This piece embodies the life cycle of the vineyard and the romance of Napa Valley wine country.

Artist Statement about the Piece

"Have you ever really thought about the life cycle of grapes in the process of winemaking? The story of wine is so much more than grape harvest and crush: from bud break in Spring, to ripening in Summer, to Fall harvest and finally Winter pruning, the vineyards need tending all year long. And what a magical way it is to tell time by the condition of the vines.

My epic 4-panel piece is not only a compelling march through time by watching the changing vines, but also an intricate and complex artistic achievement. The panels can be rotated season by season to create four phenomenal, and astonishingly distinct, compositions that fit together flawlessly regardless of which season you choose to place first!

My inspiration came from the idea that there is a wine for every season. I decided not to choose one season to begin the composition, but instead designed it so that any panel could start on the far left. Each panel can also stand alone and still flow seamlessly into the next season." – Eric Christensen

    About the Artist – Eric Christensen

    Eric Christensen began painting professionally in 1992 and quickly earned recognition as one of the most celebrated Wine Country artists. Entirely self-taught, he developed a groundbreaking watercolor technique that produces images so vivid and detailed they are often mistaken for oil paintings or photographs. Christensen is the only known artist to achieve true hyperrealism using standard watercolor.

    Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, Eric’s childhood interests included painting, botany, classical music, and gourmet cooking. These passions blended naturally into the lifelike still lifes and wine-country scenes that have made him world-renowned. After opening a successful gallery in Yountville, California in the heart of Napa Valley, Christensen ultimately chose to devote himself full-time to painting. His work has been featured in national magazines, newspapers, and on television, including Wine Country Living.

    Eric’s “wine art” transcends the bottle itself to capture the romance of the Napa lifestyle — often incorporating fresh produce, flowers, and gourmet pairings into his compositions. His meticulous dry-brush technique requires over 30 layers of paint, allowing him to create luminous colors, rich shadows, and an extraordinary sense of realism.

    Collectors of Christensen’s art often own multiple works, cherishing his rare ability to celebrate fine wine, food, and the beauty of natural materials in a single hyper-realistic image. His paintings are not only admired for their technical brilliance but also for their ability to transport viewers into the lifestyle of wine country.
