Embrace the Shadows 50x30" original oil by Pete Tillack

Description: 50x23" original oil on panel

Artist Statement – Embrace the Shadows

"Carl Jung stated that you cannot be completely whole if you deny the darker parts of yourself. Allowing for integration, not elimination. So many times we feel the need to hide behind masks so we don’t show our vulnerabilities, as this can be an uncomfortable but necessary road of transitions in order to achieve a higher level, whether it be emotional, physical or financial. True light will always cast shadows, and these challenges can hide positive and powerful qualities that once embrace, can create an unmatched level of self-awareness and confidence."

Pete Tillack’s Embrace the Shadows is a captivating original oil painting that blends symbolic storytelling with refined contemporary realism. A sleek black panther, wearing vintage aviator goggles, lounges confidently in an ornate white chair while a watchful owl rests nearby.
